so, im sure others have tools or are looking at tools they have questions about. lets use this thread to talk about them.

me...........

huksy i have a few of their tools and have had nothing but issues trying to warranty them. even after 3x calls to their 800# i have not gotten replacement tools, EVER.

craftsman, so far not had an issue ever warrantying a tool at an local store.

evercraft, i have a few sockets from them none of them have been used till this week. today i grab the 3/8" impact socket i have been eying and it instantly splits down its side. if you don't know this brand its sold at napa. i went to my local napa and they wouldn't warrant it without an receipt.

matco, Ive got a few specialty sockets from them and they will exchange them no problem but............. that is if i can track down a truck to get them exchanged. not sure if this brand is just less common or i am in a area they dont have many trucks running around.

snap-on, i have lots of their stuff and had mixed luck exchanging/buying their tools over the years. i guess im not big buck enough for the snap-on trucks so ive slightly given up on them. from time to time ill go looking for more snap-on stuff but only if no other tool vendor has what i need.

so how about others, lets hear your tool stories.

Problem is I don't have the patience to mess with all the electrical and don't feel comfortable drilling into my manifold for the Pyro myself. So, does anyone have any suggestions for a good reliable shop in or near the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles area I could contact for the work??

Hey guys !

I have a 2004.5 (LLY) Dmax GMC 2500 crew, 4x4. I've done a few typical upgrades to it...exhaust, programmer, AFE blade runner Turbo mouth piece, cold-air intake. I run all synthetics in the truck too. I've also done the pcv valve conversion(venting them down the frame rail instead of into the turbo).
The last thing I had considered was eliminating the EGR Valve assembly... I know there are many kits out there. Is this something that I definitely need to do our is it a big difference ? Will my truck run better and more efficiently with out it or not ? Whats the real deal with this mod ?

Thanks
